Supplementation

The foods we eat today are quite different from the foods our grandparents ate.

It’s true that technology and the widespread use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides have improved the productivity of today’s farms. But it has done so at the expense of reducing the vitality and nutritional content of the food we eat.

Most of us, even if we’re careful about what we eat, just aren’t getting the complete nutrition we need. That’s why it’s crucial we augment our diets with high-quality supplementation.

Three areas should be considered:

Most of us would be wise to supplement our diets.

Vitamins - An organic molecule absorbed through the intestinal tract, which in trace amounts, are essential for optimum health. For example, Vitamin A, C and E.

Minerals - Dietary minerals are elemental building blocks necessary for optimum health. Deficiencies are often the result of foods that are grown in mineral depleted soil.

Essential Fatty Acids - The body cannot synthesize these fats. If our diet is deficient in the food sources of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, then supplementation is important.

Do you suspect your diet may be compromising your health? Discuss your concern with Dr. Adams so an appropriate program of supplementation can be designed for you.

Dr. Brad Asks some important questions of interest to Auburn residents - Chiropractor Auburn Dr. Brad Asks...

Where do most Auburn residents get their first subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Auburn newborn.
What's your plan to deal with drug-resistant 'super germs'?
Chiropractors have always been concerned with the indiscriminate use of antibiotics, accelerating the mutation of microbes that make "wonder" drugs increasingly ineffective. My strategy? Do everything possible to bolster my immune system through proper diet, rest, exercise, clean air, pure water and an optimally functioning nervous system with regular chiropractic care.
