Introducing Auburn Chiropractors Dr. Vrbka and Dr. Adams

"I always knew chiropractic could help with back pain and headaches, but I didn't realize how much chiropractic care could effect my overall health until I was diagnosed with a serious intestinal disease," Dr. Tom Vrbka (pronounced VERB-ka) recalls from his personal experience.

Without regular chiropractic treatments, I would not have the life I have today in more ways than one. I would not be able to lead the active life I enjoy today for one, nor would I have pursued a profession capable of helping others the way my chiropractor has helped me.

Auburn Chiropractors, Dr. Vrbka and Dr. Adams

Dr. Vrbka and Dr. Adams began their educations at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and at Auburn University respectively, where they both studied the basic sciences, including chemistry, biology, physiology, anatomy, and genetics. Both doctors continued their education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During their 4 years at Palmer, they studied the art, science, and philosophy of chiropractic health care, as well as in-depth courses in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, X-ray, nutrition, and the diagnosis and treatment of various ailments and conditions of the human body. While at Palmer, both Doctors had the opportunity of participating in the clinic abroad program in Vietnam where they were able to render care at several clinics throughout the country. "It was an experience I will treasure forever," says Dr. Adams.

During their studies at Palmer, Dr. Vrbka and Dr. Adams began discussing their ideas for providing patient care, treatment, and management in an open and comfortable family atmosphere and the idea of Advantage Chiropractic Clinic was founded.

"'It just makes sense!' are the words I found myself saying to my best friends and family after learning how chiropractic care can help your body to be at its best," says Dr. Adams. If you are curious in learning what it is that makes so much sense about what we do or how we might be able to help you, please feel free to come in and talk to either Dr. Adams or Dr. Vrbka at Advantage Chiropractic Clinic.

We look forward to serving and growing as part of the community. We are excited and proud to call "The Loveliest Village on the Plains" our home.

Dr. Tom Asks some important questions of interest to Auburn residents - Chiropractor Auburn Dr. Tom Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
How do you know when you're healthy?
Ask most Auburn residents this simple question and you're likely to hear, "When you feel good" or "When you're at your proper weight for your height" or "When you have lots of energy and vitality." Great answers. But our chiropractic patients know that true health is when your body is working as it was designed. True health is how you function, not how you feel.
