How To Recharge Your Whole Health in 1 Month

Part 3

Welcome back! Feeling refreshed yet?

If you’re just joining us, we’ll explain! We’re doing a special three-part series on revitalizing your entire well being by working on all six aspects of your health over the course of 1 month (mental, social, spiritual, environmental, emotional and physical).

The goal? To feel revived, refreshed, and healthier than before!

Take time to connect with your feelings and remember how blessed you are.

In the first post we talked about mental and social health and the second post we discussed spiritual and environmental health. Today, it’s time to finish the series with ways to enhance your emotional and physical health. Let’s go!

Taking Care of Your Emotional Health

Emotional health is being in control of how you feel, how you behave and your thoughts. It’s about happiness, letting go of the little things in life, and enjoying all of your blessings. So, let’s make time for appreciation, love and the beauty in life.

Talk to someone about open wounds you may need support with. Are there things in your life or past you haven’t fully dealt with? Talk to someone so you can heal and come back even stronger than before. It will make the rest of your life even better.

Let the worry go! Trust that things happen for a reason and some things are out of your control. Negative thoughts like this waste your time and drain your energy.

Get in touch with your feelings. Did you use to keep a diary but stopped? Or do you have a friend you can always talk to? Use your resources to get in touch with how you’re really doing inside.

Volunteer to give back. Spend an hour helping out at a charity, an animal rescue or offer to watch the neighbor’s kids for an hour while they have a date. You’ll feel good about giving back and it will brighten your self-worth.

Spread the love. Does your family know how much you love them? Your coworkers how much you appreciate them? Take time to share the love and let your friends and loved ones know you really care. Whether a kind note or just through words, find a way to brighten someone’s day with your words of kindness.

The Best for Last, Physical Health

Physical health is how our body functions… our weight, the rest we get and the exercise we do. Yes, these are all parts of our physical health that need attention. And, as your chiropractor, we’re here to help. By aligning your spine, your nervous system can function as intended so you can heal, live and thrive as you were designed to! So, instead of just thinking about your physical health, let’s get to doing!

Tall glass of water with lime

Put lemon, lime or cucumber in your water for a refreshing twist on hydration.

Here’s a few ways to pay attention and boost your physical health this month:

Schedule appointments. Make appointments for your eye doctor and dentist visits, and of course your chiropractic checkups! Getting the scheduling part off your to-do list will feel great and it’s always nice to be organized.

Nutrition. Try the juice cleanse you’ve been eying, or grab more vegetables at the supermarket to avoid the chips and sugary drinks. If they aren’t in your cupboard, then you can’t eat them.

We know it’s hard to make drastic diet changes, but start with small, reasonable goals and you’ll eventually get there.

Get more sleep. Even if it’s 15 minutes more each evening it’s a great goal and healthy decision every time.

Hydrate. Grab a big water bottle and make sure you’re always hydrating. Remember hydration helps with appetite, energy, and overall fuel for the day. You can even use a marker to write how much water you should drink by certain times of the day, this will help you stay on track.

Exercise more regularly. Even if it’s just a walk around the block after dinner each evening, physical movement is crucial to our overall health and well being.

Wondering why we think it’s so important for you to spread the love and count your blessings? It’s because our goal as your chiropractor is to help you achieve the best wellness possible. And to us, wellness includes all aspects of your health. So, take some time to take care of yourself this month, you’ll feel recharged and ready to take on life with a new vigor and determination.

So sing at the top of your lungs, dance like no one’s watching, count your blessings and enjoy them! Grab a friend and get started on your most productive, refreshing month, ever. And if you have any questions or need encouragement, we’re always here to help.
